AI for Health
With clinical and academic partners, this line develops privacy-preserving and trustworthy AI for healthcare: federated learning for heart disease, diabetes and medical imaging; cloud- and edge-based digital twins for cardiovascular disease prediction (ICT4AWE 2023, 2024); deep learning to identify the left adrenal vein in minimally invasive adrenalectomy (Surgical Laparoscopy, Endoscopy & Percutaneous Techniques, 2023); deepfake detection in lung CT; synthetic data for privacy-preserving medical imaging; and gender bias in COVID-19 diagnosis from medical images.
